What the Consultation Is

The Initial Consultation is a focused clinical evaluation with Dr. Rahman and the accessible entry point to the practice. Whether you are dealing with a specific joint or tendon problem, or exploring peptides, orthobiologics, and recovery options, this is where you start. It is not a generic intake visit and not a sales conversation for a predetermined program — it is a real clinical assessment, and the output is a clear plan.

The consultation typically takes about 60 minutes. It includes review of relevant imaging, a focused orthopedic examination, ultrasound evaluation of the target area when appropriate, and a structured conversation about what the patient is actually trying to do. You leave with a clear plan; for more complex cases, Dr. Rahman finalizes the details after the visit and sends them to you shortly after.

What the Consultation Produces

• A tissue picture — what the imaging and exam actually show, what the biological state of the tissue appears to be.
• A mechanical picture — what the sport or activity requires of the joint, and what loading tolerance looks like.
• A participation target — what you are actually trying to do, by when, and what the plan needs to accomplish.

From those three, the plan emerges. A Chronos program. A referral into Dr. Rahman's surgical practice. A shorter course of modality-based care. Structured conservative management with clear milestones. What it will be is honest, specific, and designed around you rather than around a product.

The Initial Consultation is the right entry point for a specific, often temporary problem — a joint or tendon that is not doing what it should, and where a focused course of care (including, where appropriate, peptide or orthobiologic approaches) may help. The Longevity Consultation is the right start if your focus is long-term — ongoing metabolic, recovery, and longevity optimization over time. Consultation Details

Location. West Los Angeles, at Pacific Coast Sports Medicine (11710 Wilshire Boulevard, Brentwood), where consultation and cellular optimization take place.

Fee. The Initial Consultation is $250 and includes imaging review when applicable. Credited toward program enrollment within 90 days.

Format. In-person preferred. Telemedicine available for imaging review, second opinions, and initial triage in selected cases.
